kmxexii Continuing to expound on AJ's action soundtrack feel. "Victory" opens with a gritty VHS jingle - the warp pervading the album - and rolls into a stomping beat. "USSR" finishes with perfect end credits / sunset music. I really like the funky bass line of "Train Hard", a fun track. "Headphones" is quirky and offbeat, sounding like the backing music to a self-aware showdown between a drug cartel and police forces, complete with an indulgent, climbing solo. "Nights" is purestrain tropical fetishism. Favorite track: Synthesized Victory (VHS Version).

Zachary Crabtree The track United States basically sums up why I love 80s cinema. The mood of it actively pursues that longing, dragging feeling of accomplishment emblazoned with unrealized hope, passion, and dysfunctional allusions to a golden horizon that can only be had by pushing forward at the fastest pace your feet could stand to run. Yet you still stand there, pulling the shades down over your eyes and exhale, knowing you've gone too far to say you haven't gone far enough.

AJ lets me dream while awake. Favorite track: United Staates.
